Public Geographies, Public Geographer…

by Fox | May 1, 2017 | Geographers, Making, Press | 0 comments

Took the train Saturday to Solothurn, Switzerland for their Pecha Kucha Night #3. I got carried away and presented 3 different projects: Geographical Imaginations, The CAMINANTE Project and The Great American Pilgrimage (Appalachian Trail). Great hosts and quite the Kulturnacht in this great Swiss town outside of Zurich. Thanks again to all!

Geographical Imaginations

The Geographical Imaginations Expedition & Institute (The GIEI) is an education and civic learning initiative that uses human geography, dialogue, and systems thinking to help young people and communities better understand global interdependence, inequality, and planetary futures. The GIEI designs learning experiences and research projects that cultivate imagination, critical thinking, and collective agency around global challenges.
